PAWTRAIT of the month: KEVIN

I love meeting enthusiast dog lovers and their pups during my PAWTRAIT event. I am obviously happy to paint dogs from photos but being able to greet the real dog sometimes can be a game changer especially if he/she has the energy to boost you up during a long day. And Kevin was the star!

Here we go, taking you all back to March, during the “one-and-only” Salad Days Market in Battersea Power Station. It was more than a busy day with 26 bookings in 9 hours, which also meant FULL HOUSE.
Kevin and his mom came to my booth in the afternoon. In order to give Kevin a good first impression, I offered a small treat and he immediately stood up, gave me a sniff saying thank you! I also had the privilege to have a little fuss with this happy bean before I started working, and to my surprise, Kevin was quite a strong boy compared to many other cavapoos that I met before. He certainly has some muscles.

During that lightning short 20mins pawtrait time, Kevin stayed with me, well not exactly beside me, no, he was basically seeking attention from anyone that he could possibly say hello to. I remember his mommy tried to make him stay in front of the table for a photo, and it wasn't easy. For me it was fun to watch though. I guess that’s why I added a little bit more cheeriness & cheekiness to his handsome pawtrait.

Kevin was very happy about his capture and he allowed me to hold him for a final photo before the next doggie guest arrived. I was fully charged by the love he showed me with his tongue and his sniff and his wagging tail. I survived another epic market with the Salad Days legends.

By the way Kevin and his mommy were from Australia. They came last year and so far they were quite impressed by the dog-friendliness in the UK. I am so glad that Kevin boy has been having a good time and has no issue settling in.
